Little Red Riding Hood

This piece is based off of the fairy tale Little Red Riding Hood. I was inspired literally just by a shade of red that I saw on a matte board, so I grabbed the board and started sketching. I really wanted to do the hood in this straight line style, and when it got that minimalist look I decided I would stick to that. It was fun to use this layout. All three pieces come together to make a single piece that tells a story. I decided to do the wolf how it is in the background so that it would fade into the darkness easier, and I think it just adds a lot of dimension to the piece. This may be my favorite piece I've done this year.
