Odd Angle

This piece, well it started out as a perspective study of a weird angle of my face. However, the photo reference was blurry and the chin didn't show in the photo so I didn't know what to do exactly in that area. So I just decided to continue on and do some shading on what I had down. Eventually, I added more weird aspects, since it's a weird concept to begin with. The dotted lines go with the direction of the face and the planes already drawn or not. For instance, the line grouping in the bottom right would have been a part of the chin. I added the border to better pull together the piece and contain it, since it was kind of everywhere at that point. I'll add more contrast later on with brighter whites and darker graphite maybe even adding a little more in the background to make it more interesting. However, the face is obviously the focal point, so I don't want to take away from it too much.
