Sloth

For sloth, my initial thought had been to use a literal sloth. However, I thought that was too obvious and not as creative, so instead I used a bear, which are known for their very long hibernation. My link to human, of course, is the alarm clock the bear is lying on. In the second layer, I used blues and purples because I think of them as "dream" colors. I directed the purples into a line down the center because I wanted there to be more purples, and I I had done all the edges as blues, their wouldn't be as much purple. In the last layer, there is a girl lying down, sleeping. It's not very noticeable in this photo, but in reality is just as dark as the bear. It can escape your first glance though, but that's exactly hat I've been shooting for in the last layer for my entire concentration. My master artist for my concentration is Adonna Khare, who has drawn a bear specifically that I looked off of just for a little help in individual hairs. hers is much more detailed than mine, but of course she spends much more time on her pieces as a professional artist. I can only hope I can someday have the patience for that.
