Abstract Journey

This piece is abstract and is made out of cut paper. The shapes and color scheme were inspired by gears that could be found possibly in a clock. I used an X-Acto knife to cut the images out beforehand, and then I organized them on the page as I saw fit. The story that I find in this piece (although it may differ from a different point of view) is that the large black half circle is a planet, and the multiple ladders leading off the page are pathways off of it. The many other images around can serve as different planets, buildings, aircraft, and directions. This piece was mostly about composition, so the story behind it doesn't really have much importance.

<---- I used images like this one to decide on shapes and linework that I wanted to include.
